Crossing the line, don't scare the gecko
We've just eaten a delicious meal... Ordered on the bus for our first stopover meal. We're in Mbarara overnight having left Heathrow at 8.30 last night & travelled on 2 planes & a bus. We stopped at the equator...

I asked for first impressions...
Zaya: Being filmed! (We were greeted by Patrick & his children, one of whom filmed the whole joyous greeting.)
Cathy: I loved seeing other people's way of life as we trundled along. It was fascinating.
Janet: There was a real sense of joy with all the people we encountered. Even the lady selling us phone sims, named Jolly!
Steve: what a relief that all our bags arrived.
Clive: The heat when we stepped off the aeroplane.
Ellie: Everyone seems happy and kids were waving to me as we passed in the bus.
Barbara: I was overjoyed to see Patrick and David and get some great hugs.
David: He was very happy to have the seat at the front of the bus - he joined us after an overnight bus from Soroti. He thinks he's leading the team now...
Tom met a talapia...
So we're here. We're fed, rested & ready for bed. Onwards to Rukungiri tomorrow.
Oh, & don't scare the geckos, they might drop their tail in your dinner.
