The world is upside down

Today's blog is by Clive:
A good night's sleep and a delightful breakfast - what more could you want?
Last night someone remarked that the moon was upside down because we were in the southern hemisphere. Sometimes I think the world is upside down as many people here possess very little but seem extraordinarily happy.
Today we travelled to Rukungiri - there were vast banana and pineapple plantations. The other noticeable thing is how many ‘Boxer’ motorbikes there are - it must run into thousands seen each journey. Lots of children and some adults waved at us as we drove by.
We are staying in a very nice hotel with a beautiful garden.
Today we finalised our planned activities for the next four days and met local Global Care board members, staff and teachers who are helping. Tom & Barbara celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary - well done to you both ! A lovely cake was made in their honour.
In many ways this quieter but hotter day has been good to recover from the continuous travel since Friday evening.
So far we have enjoyed each others company - (we have an unofficial motto - ‘happy team - living the dream’). We have also enjoyed the food!
Tomorrow the work/fun starts!
